Help us celebrate Wandsworth's LGBTQ+ past, present and future

My LGBTQ+ Wandsworth: bringing together Wandsworth's LGBTQ+ community

What is My LGBTQ+ Wandsworth?

My LGBTQ+ Wandsworth is a community project for LGBTQ+ people who live, work, or socialise in Wandsworth, brought to you by LGBT HERO.

Whether you live, work or socialise in Wandsworth, or feel at home in its queer spaces, this project is all about coming together, sharing stories, building connections, and creating something meaningful as a community.

What does it involve?

We will be running peer-support groups and creative workshops to give you a chance to connect, share experiences, and be part of something meaningful in a fun, inclusive space. Together we will work towards a public exhibition to be opened during Pride Month, celebrating LGBTQ+ life in Wandsworth and showcasing the stories, voices, and creative work that has been developed through the workshops.

We’ll also be offering training sessions on LGBTQ+ health and allyship - open to both participants and local venues - to help make Wandsworth an even more inclusive place for everyone.

Why Wandsworth?

Wandsworth has been named as the Borough of Culture for 2025 and we want to celebrate the rich history, legacy and current queer culture the borough has to offer. We want to showcase venues, safe spaces, lives and stories of Wandsworth and ensure its LGBTQ+ legacy. The project is funded by the Wimbledon Community Fund as part of celebrating Wandsworth as the Borough of Culture.

How do I get involved?
