Walking HangOuts | Walking with Pride in South West London

Walking  HangOuts – Walking with Pride is a brand new social walking group for LGBTQ+ people in South West London, where we can explore some of the area’s amazing green spaces, meet new people and get our daily steps in!

JOIN A WALK

Whether you’re new to walking, getting back into movement, fancy a stroll, or just looking to meet new friends in your community, Walking HangOuts is for you.

This isn’t about fitness. It’s about creating a safe, inclusive, active outdoor group where LGBTQ+ people can share conversations, build connections, explore their local surroundings, and get some fresh air.

We know that for many people, joining a group can feel daunting. That’s why Walking HangOuts is designed to be relaxed, friendly, and welcoming. Walking side-by-side makes conversation easier, friendships grow naturally, and confidence builds over time.

We’ll be running afternoon and evening walks, so you can pick a Walking HangOut  that fits your schedule, whether it’s a daytime wander with a coffee or a chance to clear your head after work, there will be a Walking  HangOut  you can join.

We then hope you’ll join us for the ultimate LGBTQ+ walk… the London Pride Parade. Everyone who attends a Walking HangOut will be given first refusal to march with LGBT HERO at Pride 2026.  No pressure, just a collective goal to build towards.

So, bring your water bottle, your coffee cup, your pedometer or your pets (yes – it’s dog friendly) and join us for a walk!

Is Walking HangOuts for me?

Walking HangOuts is designed with inclusion at its heart and is especially welcoming for:

  • Neurodivergent LGBTQ+ people who prefer outdoor spaces and side-by-side conversations
  • People with social anxiety who find walking easier than sitting in a group or being in busy venues
  • People new to LGBTQ+ spaces who want to meet others without pressure or expectations
  • Anyone feeling a bit isolated and looking for a gentle way to connect
  • People who want to build friendships first before taking part in bigger community moments like Pride

There’s no pressure to talk, no pressure to keep up, and no pressure to come every time. You can join at your own pace, walking with people who get it.

Perhaps surprisingly, the proud tradition of cruising is still going strong. There are plenty of apps and websites dedicated to helping you out if you want to have sex in a public place.
